There's no doubt about it... we are living in dangerous times.
Every day, millions of people all around the world, face the real threat of hunger, homelessness, poverty, natural disasters, and emotional and physical abuse. While we may individually face challenges in our own daily lives, it is so important to give all we can to improving the lives of others. We are all connected and we share one world.
Though we may not hear their stories on the news, at this very moment a child is crying... a woman is suffering... a father is dying.
In the USA, people
are still displaced from the Hurricane Katrina and over 300 people have
lost their lives in recent tornadoes in 2011 alone. Thousands more have
lost husbands, wives, parents and children in war -- being left with
little to no income & resources. In the aftermath of disasters in Haiti, Indonesia, and Pakistan, people are faced with the spread of disease due to lack of access to clean water and substandard waste management. Recovery teams are working tirelessly, but they need your help.
This is a critical time in our history. Let's make our mark on the future by helping each other in times of need. Take a little time to listen and then, TAKE ACTION!
